I’ve been an athlete my entire life and spent more than 25 years as a personal trainer. During my career, I’ve met and worked with some extraordinary people and athletes who have given me insight into motivation and behaviour, what works and what doesn’t, and the reasons WHY.
My TRTC Story
Over the course of my career I’ve worked with individuals of all fitness levels to achieve their fitness goals and aspirations, no matter how large or small their individual challenge may be.
My personal challenge
In 2014, I took on my own challenge and started seriously training for my own first Triathlon race. I had a high level of fitness but lacked the confidence, guidance and courage to go for it. This experience inspired me to become a qualified Triathlon coach, and in 2015 I began specifically coaching triathletes while continuing to train other athletes.
I completed the Wales, Nice and Vichy Ironman triathlons in 2015 and Ironman Denmark in 2017. This experience has further strengthened my foundations for providing realistic management, guidance, support, knowledge and motivation for those in pursuit of their own optimal sports performance and goals.
We often perceive the challenges we face as far greater than the reality itself.

My Coaching Values
My strength as a coach stems from my ability to understand and inspire the people I work with. I believe it’s fundamental to success to develop strong relationships based on individual needs and goals. Coaching is about more than the physical training; the mental and emotional qualities and attributes that are unique to us as individuals make as much of an impact on our performance as our physical preparation.
I am a Level 2 British Triathlon Federation Certified Coach, an ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) qualified Health & Fitness Instructor, Advanced Personal Trainer and Exercise Specialist, a National Strength and Conditioning Coach, and a Cycle Point Level 1 professional Bike Fitter.
